Hello, I’m Scott Howerton and I started ATL Soccer in an effort to help promote Soccer in and around Atlanta. I enjoy Soccer and want to see if flourish in Atlanta but I get frustrated at times when I don’t see the game progressing at a rate that I think it should. Don’t get me wrong, we’re definitely progressing and by no means do I think this blog is going to have a major effect on Soccer’s success in Atlanta. That being said, I decided I wanted to do something to help contribute. Thus ATL Soccer blog was born.
I’ve grown up playing and enjoying the beautiful game all of my life. I moved to the north metro Atlanta area 15 years ago and played soccer at Harrison High School. I actually started KSU early after my junior year and since that time I only played in local leagues for fun. I had my first experience in coaching this past fall when I coached my son’s 3 yr old team and it was a blast.
I’m trying to build my network of contacts to be able to provide some insight that you might not run across anywhere else. If you have any leads please let me know. I’m also open to any thoughts or suggestions you may have about the blog. Thanks for visiting the site.

Great blog! Will definitely be added to my bookmarks! Hope we get the Silverbacks back soon.
For the FC Atlanta Blackhawks, our next home game, June 10th, we are doing a charity fundraiser for the oil crisis going on in Louisiana. Our owners, Rob and Sandy Hoskins said they would donate two dollars to a local New Orleans Charity for every ticket that is sold. Well, I know that you all are sport fans and that you deal with sports everyday, I just thought it would be nice to for everyone to understand how the city, state, and community still lend a helping hand. It also just so happens that the visiting team that we will be playing are the New Orleans Jesters.
An adult ticket only cost 6 dollars and all children 4 and under get in free. Again it is a for a GREAT cause and is also a great family friendly environment. If you could forward this e-mail along or pass the information I would really appreciate it!
